"Zzzzzzzz-Cleaner'z"

Keen, my man, and I have two buildings downtown in our small Alabama village! Just last year, Keen purchased these amazing old buildings and started right away cleaning them out! Both buildings were extremely dilapidated...which intrigues the hell outta' Keen and I...! We love old, worn out things that nobody else wants (in case you haven't figured that out yet)...! Heehee!

Ohhhhhhh the treasures one finds when they dig deep...and treasures are indeed what we found, buried underneath debris! If your house has white carpet throughout...you might want to hold your nose and look away! But, if sweat, dirt, grime...bugs...did I mention dirt...?...and the idea of digging for treasures excites you...then you will TOTALLY :---dig-} what we found (no pun intended)...!

One of these buildings used to be an old dry cleaning business! The hand painted sign below (with the Z and the red infinity symbol) is Keen's logo that he came up with! It stands for "Z Cleaners" and is now hanging at the front door of his building! FYI: One building is mine and the other building is Keen's!

*BIG smile*

Look closely at the below pic...do you see what looks to be a bloody hand-print with blood splatters on the wall??? They were serious when they said "no credit"...! Ha! We didn't even notice the hand and splatters until after I took this photograph! We are hoping that it's simply mud??? It would be interesting to find out otherwise, huh...!?!

Very creepy!

AMAZING, isn't it???

All the original equipment still stands exactly where it stood on the very last day the doors were opened! Unbelievable to say the least! This is when Historian's and Treasure Hunter's take a moment of silence....

Shhhhhh.....

BELOW: Keen celebrating a job well done, with shovel and rake in hand! Just a couple of months prior to taking these photographs, the entire building was completely filled with rotted wood and debris! I am very excited for Keen and very proud of him! WhootWhoot!

BELOW: The frontal of the building...

Yes...toy soldiers, cowboys and Indians...did you expect anything different? Then you are at the wrong store! *wink* We found these little figures on the ground in my building!

Fun-Fun!

Z-Cleaners! To infinity and beyond!

This is a broader view of the store front...actually, store front(s)! My building is the next door over...!
Yep...2 in 1!!!

Here's the part where you should close your eyes if you are squeamish!

*wink*

BELOW: So, this pic is of my building, which used to be a drug store (only no drugs)! About 1/3 of my building has been cleared out!!! The difference between the condition of my building and Keen's building, is that my roof is still intact..Keen's wasn't! So there isn't as much to clear out in my space as there was originally in Keen's space! Even so, there is still a great deal of work ahead...as you can see!

Anyone wanna' get dirty???

Rumor has it that some locals set fire to this building and the owner shut it down afterwards! This happened 30 years ago and the building hasn't been opened since...Until now!

The Sheriff is in town!

Remember how I told you that we found the figurines on the ground of my building?
Well we actually found HUNDREDS of figurines and toys!
Keen brought buckets filled with dirty little toys...
(sounds kinky...?)
... to the house, and I cleaned and bleached every single one of them!

BEFORE I washed and bleached the toys (below)...

AFTER I washed and bleached the toys (below)...

Pretty crazy, aye???
This is what we do with our time...! Normal people do crossword or jigsaw puzzles with their spare time...we excavate buildings and salvage garbage with our "not so much" spare time! You know what they say, "One man's junk is another man's treasure"...!

Amen to that!

The following pix are random shots of the fronts of the buildings...

That's all folks...until next time!!!

*BIG smile*
